Contributions are welcome for a special issue of Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution entitled ‘Biological Invaders: Always the Bad Guys?’
A number of past and contemporary studies have challenged long held views about the impacts that biological invaders have and whether these are always negative. The collection of papers in this special issue will be focused on a critical assessment of this issue and the evolutionary, practical and socio-economic implications.

Contributions for a special issue of Diversity „Biological invasions – Selected papers from NEOBIOTA 2020“ are welcome.
Despite our current reduced mobility due to Covid-19 circumstances, we have to continue our research of biological invasions, and to exchange our knowledge. This open-access special issue will significantly contribute to that exchange, and enhance our future comprehension on alien species and their invasions worldwide.
